Tháng 5 năm 1999, single thứ 2 của album By Request tên You Needed Me ra mắt người hâm mộ. Single này cũng là 1 bản cover, của Anne Murray hát năm 1978.



Single này khi ra mắt đã đánh bại Look At Me của cựu thành viên Spice Girl Geri Halliwell với 700 bản bán ra, You Needed Me leo lên vị trí #1 tại bảng xếp hạng UK và #2 tại Ireland, nhận "Silver sales status certification" với 200.000 bản bán ra tại UK.

Với single này, Boyzone lại trở về với giai điệu pop ballad quen thuộc, nhưng công nhận là You Need Me rất hay, hơn hẳn những bản pop ballad mới ra trước đó của nhóm.

Clip bài này Boyzone quay cùng với mấy khung cửa sổ (ở liveshow 2000 và 2008 cũng tái hiện lại những cái khung cửa sổ này), Ro dẫn lead (muôn thửơ >.<).
